Car stickers and decals / Application

Dry Method

Step 1
Rub the sticker to be sure the transfer tape is properly adhered to the sticker.

Step 2
Clean and dry the desired area. Stickers will stick best to clean smooth surfaces in temperatures above 50 °F (10 °C).

Step 3
Remove the paper backing slowly making sure the sticker stays adhered to the transparent transfer tape. Please be really careful with this step!

Step 4
Carefully position the sticker to the desired area. Once the sticker adheres, it will be nearly impossible to reposition without destroying the sticker. Rub the sticker from one side to the other, eliminating any air bubbles.

Step 5
Make sure that the entire sticker is fully adhered to the surface.

Step 6
Slowly remove the transfer tape. Making sure no part of the sticker remains on the transfer tape.

Step 7
Check for air bubbles. In most cases air bubbles can be worked to the edge of the sticker, but if not, a pin hole will allow the air out and become virtually invisible, once the bubble is gone.

Wet Method

The wet method is used to apply large stickers or decals to the flat or slightly curved surface. This method produces very little initial adhesion so it allows you to position the sticker where you want and avoids any air bubbles and folds. Be aware that the final adhesion will be reached after at least 24 hours but could be even up to 48 hours. It is not recommended to use the wet method in temperatures lower than 60°F (15°C).

Step 1
Prepare soapy water (mix approx. a gallon of water with few drops of dishwashing liquid) and pour it into a spray bottle.

Step 2
Use the spray to wet the entire surface.

Step 3
Place the sticker on the wet surface.

Step 4
Now the sticker can be gently moved and repositioned.

Step 5
Use a small squeegee or drivers license to squeeze the water and detergent solution out from under the sticker. Be careful but don't worry the transfer tape will protect it. The water can also be removed by using your fingers. Please be sure to squeegee as much solution as possible out from under the sticker. If not enough solution is removed it may not adhere to the surface enough to allow the easy removal of the transfer tape.

Step 6
Please wait between 30-90 minutes before removing the application tape.

Step 7
Full adhesion will be reached after 24-48 hours.
